No support in IE 8 and below!

Radioslof is, as far as I know, the only radiostation that broadcast with YouTube vids over the Twitter network. After doing this for ¾ of a year and with an increase in popularity, Radioslof was in need for a single place where its followers could follow the broadcasts in realtime by watching the YouTube vids, follow the @RadioSlof twitter stream and tweet or retweet messages.

This new B2B cloathes hanger company wanted a brochure website that was way more visually appealing compared to the ones from their main competitors and on which their customers could navigate through their collection with ease.

Being a web developer means that you'll have to constantly learn to keep up with the latest developments, trends and technologies in our industry. What we use ‘today’ can be improved, outdated or irrelevant ‘tomorrow’. To put things into practise, I've created this ‘one page layout’ where I took a fictive company as a client. In this case, DataGrid, a specialist in cloud hosting.

After all the bad stories I heard about crowdsourcing and designers telling on blog posts that spec work is evil, I still wanted to see for myself. I picked a 'contest' at 99designs where the 'client' wanted a homepage design and the 'winner' would get $1400 for it. The requests were, bright & bold colour scheme, lots of white space and a story telling layout with a few call-to-action buttons. From the 40 submissions I got the highest rating from the 'client' (4 stars), but once the 'contest' was over and I wanted to cash my 'prize' the 'client' closed the 'contest' and I never heard back from him. Spec work is indeed evil!
